- 3. What materials do you use in your drums and cymbals?
Drum shells are made from premium woods such as poplar, maple, birch, mahogany, and walnut.
Cymbals are crafted from B25 bronze,B20 Bronze, B8 alloy, and other custom blends, hand-hammered and lathed for tonal richness.
Percussion instruments are built using sustainably sourced hardwoods, fiberglass and natural skins (or synthetic heads depending on the model).
- 4. Can I purchase a full drum kit, or are components sold individually?
Both options are available. You can purchase complete shell packs or buy individual components (e.g., snares, toms, or cymbals) to suit your specific setup.
- 5. Are your cymbals machine-made or hand-hammered?
Our cymbals are hand-hammered and hand-lathed by master craftsmen to achieve rich, complex tonal characteristics favored by professional drummers. And only our Neo Series cymbals are machine made.
- 6. How are Avus drums and cymbals tuned or tested before shipping?
Each drum and cymbal is individually tested for sound quality. Drums are pre-tensioned for safe transport and cymbals are acoustically matched when sold in sets.
- 7. Do Avus products come with a warranty?
Yes. 2-year limited warranty. Warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal use. Proof of purchase required.
